The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents Michael Chiarello tapped as airline chef.
Michael Chiarello, chef, author and TV host, is the latest food celebrity tapped by an airline to create star-powered in-flight meals.
Delta Air Lines announced Monday that passengers flying in their BusinessElite cabin will tuck into meals specially developed by the American chef.
Michael Chiarello is known for his Emmy Award-winning show Easy Entertaining with Michael Chiarello, shown on US channel the Food Network and his performance on Top Chef Masters on US cable channel Bravo.
Beginning in September, passengers traveling on flights between John F. Kennedy Airport to L.A. and San Francisco will dine on a three-course meal that starts with an antipasto plate, entrée, and dessert course featuring fine cheeses and gelato.
Chiarello is the latest in a string of celebrity chefs who have lent their culinary expertise — and their star-powered names — to airlines.
United Airlines sought the input of Charlie Trotter in 2006; Gordon Ramsay acts as a consultant for Singapore Airlines; and Air France boasts the most decorated celebrity chef in its in-flight kitchen — Joel Robuchon, who holds the most Michelin stars.
Here’s a look at Delta Air Lines fall menu:
Antipasti Misto
